Diamond Shelters Welded Truss Options
Pipe and Ratchet Tie Down System
- All 28’ to 70’ wide Diamond Shelters have a standard rope tie down system for their main frame covers. The main frame cover tie down system on these shelters can be upgraded to a pipe and ratchet system. Both systems are equally effective in securing the main frame cover to the shelter.
- The advantage of the pipe and ratchet tie down system is that, further tightening of a cover (required as part of good building maintenance) is made easier with ratchets.
- A pipe and ratchet cover tie down system is standard on the 80’ to 160’ wide Diamond Shelters.
- Our pipe and ratchet system uses two ratchets evenly spaced between the rafters. Because of the location of the ratchets, the fabric does not need to be excessively stretched over the rafter itself in order to achieve the proper cover tension between the rafters. This results in a more uniformly tight cover.
Half Moon End Frames
- Some Diamond Shelter applications, most often livestock facilities, require the full width of the end frame to be open to a specified height.
- Above that height the end is closed in with a Diamond Shelter Half Moon End Frame. It is effective in keeping some of the snow, rain or wind out of the building.
- Half Moon End Frames are only available on 28’ to 120’ wide Diamond Shelters.
Awnings
- Diamond Shelters manufactures awnings that can be attached to our shelters on one or both sides running the full or part length of the shelter.
- The awnings are used to typically protect the feed in bunkers constructed along the sides of the shelter.
End Wall Mesh Vents
- Diamond Shelters offers optional mesh vents for end frame covers. The end wall mesh vents provide ventilation in our shelters while still limiting the amount of wind, rain or snow that enters into the shelter. These vents come in various sizes. An optional retractable flap can be added to the end wall mesh vent so that it can be closed during inclement weather.
Ridge Vent
- For improved ventilation in our Welded Truss Diamond Shelters, we offer an open ridge vent at the peak of the shelters. A ridge vent is often used in large livestock facilities. The vents width depends on the width of the structure and the number of livestock in the facility.
Flame Retardant Cover
- As an option, our 12 oz. white covers are available in a flame retardant version that meets or exceeds most local fire regulations. Check with us for other available colors.
Ponywall Mounting Brackets
- Diamond Shelters has optional ponywall mounting brackets for securing our 28’ to 60’ Wide Welded Truss shelters to ponywall foundations.
Screw Pile Mounting Plates
- Freestanding and High Profile Welded Truss Diamond Shelters are often set on a screw pile foundation. We offer optional screw pile mounting plates to secure our shelter to these piles.
Insulation
- Welded Truss Diamond Shelters can be insulated (insulation and strapping supplied by the customer). We offer an insulation package which includes the necessary hardware to install insulation in your Welded Truss Diamond Shelter.
